Description

The construction work begins with the selection of the right tools or, as the philosopher Martin Heidegger puts it: “A hammer ceases to be an object as soon as we use it. Through its use, through the fulfillment of its purpose, the hammer becomes an extension of our body and can only be thought of in connection with it.”

Stone blocks in ancient Rome were moved with cranes. To do this, holes were drilled in the top of them. A wolf (ulivella) was inserted into them, which spread out when lifted and wedged itself into the hole, which became wider towards the bottom.
